TBT: play it again, Chuck

A theologian friend posted this article, slamming a few contemporary worship songs.  I know - church fight blahblahblah. You don't have to read any further.  Cool people are excused.

Now for the rest of you geeks -- the article mentions an old Chuck Colson quote, which I wrote about when the quote was first published.  So I'm bringing Play it Again, Chuck out of the archives. 

The original Colson article now has a lovely paywall up (talk about Throwback Thursday) so you can't read all of it. Too bad.   

I also did a follow-up piece on the same day called True Righteousness. I'm posting that, too.  

Both are filled with scholar speak -- I guess Colson struck a nerve that day.  Here's this brilliant Biblical thinker standing in the middle of what could be great spiritual depth and all he can do is clench his teeth.  It breaks my heart, so I wrote toward the scholars.  Poor, unreached lot that they are, eh?
