saw the cliff divers in Acapulco

The thing about looking back on cool things you've done is that some events have several cool moments in them.

For example, I went to Mexico several times as part of work, but one trip was particularly profound.  I'll write on those more serious moments later, but one lighter note was getting to be a tourist and watch some cliff diving in Acapulco.

I'm sure it's no light moment if you're the one making the jump.  But every one of us in that crowd was there because we knew they could do it.  We expected them to make it.

And it was glorious.  This is a stock photo because when I was there, they didn't dive until dusk.  It seemed like low light would make it more dangerous.  But those divers know tides and conditions better than some landlocked gringa, and they gave us all a clinic on beauty and precision.  It was inspiring.

You should put this on your list.
