gingerbread spice 

[UPDATE: if you used this over Christmas 2015, my apologies, I listed allspice as 2 tbs; it's only 1.  Corrected below.]

I like gingerbread flavoring the same way some people (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) like pumpkin spice.  I mock them for their fetish, even though it's the same 5 ingredients in varying amounts.    

Gingerbread's punchier, like these ninja cookies.  (I forgot to take a picture of my gingerbread latte today, so I found these guys.)  I'm gonna try to make some stuff with the mix this month.  Here's the ingredients for gingerbread spice mix:

• 2 tablespoons cinnamon
• 2 tablespoons ground ginger
• 1 tablespoon allspice
• 1 tablespoon nutmeg
• 1 tablespoon cloves
• Pinch of black pepper

And in the spirit of giving, for those who wanna make your own PSL's, here's the ratio for pumpkin spice mix:

• 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
• 2 teaspoons ground ginger
• 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
• 1 ½ teaspoons ground allspice
• 1 ½ teaspoons ground cloves 

This Christmas series started in part because of someone asking questions on facebook like, "What's your favorite holiday treat?" to which I gave a snarky reply.  I think gingerbread would be my genuine answer.  His other two questions were about favorite drinks and movie scenes.  I'll add those next.
