Favors -- not the kind of favor where I ask if I can interview you for this blog challenge I'm doing (though thanks to those who said yes). But I mean those lovely parting gifts at weddings. We used to get party favors at kids' birthday parties -- tacky plastic toys that loosely went with the theme (Barbie bracelets or those army parachute guys). Apparently kazoos fit every single theme. They still make those things. They seem like such a good idea in the package (yay! happy! party!) but you know what they do (no! angry! adult!). .
Wedding favors are much more pleasant. Take this one from a friend's wedding this year. The bag had two items, his and hers. His last name is Beck, so instead of a Ball Mason jar cookie, it's a Beck jar. So cute. And since she's a Georgia peach, there was peach jam. Simple, small, and meaningful. It tells a story. Have you or your kids received party favors lately? Best ones? Weirdest?
