at the risk of sounding political...

George Verwer, living legend and maker of mission entrepreneurs, said something recently I want to share.  Keep in mind this is from a man who, in his late 70s, is still traveling the globe and in contact with churches EVERYwhere.  He writes:

Have you studied the history of the church in the USA?  And especially what liberal turning away from the Bible did to our seminaries and church (and universities ) in the first half of the last century?

If not, then be careful in going on and on about how negative everything is here. The nation has always been a mess in certain ways and the church as well. But God works in the midst of the mess. I call it Messiology (my own word) and in my view, many things in the USA are better than say, the year I was born again, 1955.  

NEVER has Biblical faith been embraced by so many people and churches. This in turn has impacted the world world, giving us the greatest global harvest in all History.

​TOO many people focusing on the negatives and missing what God is doing in the midst of it..  Yes, some things seem worse today, like massive addiction to drugs and porno and all that goes with it.

BEWARE of negative thinkers and conspiracy promoters. So many make 2 + 2 = 22 but it's 4.  Many Christians, when they get into politics, make fools of themselves and bring disgrace to the Lord and HIS Church.
