I heard someone say, "God never gives us a paragraph." If we get any direction it's usually a word. Go. Wait. Speak. Listen. Forgive. The old time church folk call it "a word in season" 'cause when you get one of those, it's right when you need it.
Once in school, a group of us were sitting in the living room floor of a mentor who asked us, "What have you been thinking about lately? What's one thing you keep rolling around in your mind?" I had to say, "Indonesia." I thought I might be going there. I didn't, but that one word led me down a path that I'm still on today.
During this series I wrote about a friend's word, scream. The series itself is from a single word, small. I love the one pictured here -- explore. I'm thinking of taking some word from this series and making that my new series. Just follow that to something new. I had no idea where the word small would lead. I just went. What word are you getting?
This very cool piece was created by Scott Dilley. He and his wife Melanie are artists and they'll be at the Country Living Fair this weekend at Stone Mountain Park. You can see more of their work on the Dilley Brand Instagram page. The two oldest Dilley kids also have contributed to the collection. Please visit their booth and be inspired. These dear friends are constantly inspiring me.
