Watching M*A*S*H is so weird now. Their light-speed puns were considered downright literary back in the day. Hey, Shakespeare was a punster, too. M*A*S*H was in good company. But now I have to turn off the Sorkin switch in my head to watch. The dialog is still great, but the puns make it dated, when for so long M*A*S*H was considered timeless. Now puns just sound like memes -- great for t-shirts, but not for reasoned conversation. Not that they aren't appreciated. George Takei's entire internet persona is pun-based. And Snorg Tees is making a fortune off wordplay wear. These three designs were released in the last month. Puns aren't dead. They just ______________________.
